A practical yet elegant 1940s style jacket based on the American deadstock jacket from the wartime. We have been inspired by the best bits and enhanced a little to suit modern fit an manufacturing techniques.

An indispensable jacket for any 1940s enthusiast - creates a VERY 1940s silhouette with its strong shoulders and nipped in waist where jacket body blousons over. Designed to fit on the natural waist, we have now added a strip of elastic into the waistband to ease the fit.

Goes beautifully with our Hepburn pants, 40s Waterfall and 40s Whirlaway Skirts. Jacket is made in signature heavy crepe and we have enhanced the style lines with top stitching on buttonholes, collar, centre front & waist. Lined.

The other key 40s features are the bishop style sleeve with button cuff and the classic 1940s style collar.
