1940s Button Back Blouse - Sumptuous Satin

We are excited to announce the arrival of another fabulous new style to add to our reworked collection of vintage inspired blouses. Authentic, packed with details and designed to create the correct silhouette for the era.

This 1940s inspired blouse is the right length to wear over natural waisted trousers and skirts but perfect to tuck into high waisted styles, too. It has all the hallmarks of that iconic wartime and mid 40s styles - simple and elegant with a high jewel neckline but enhanced by asymetical darts on the wearers' left shoulder. This creates a lovely cowl effect in the fabric and gives plenty of room for the bust. You could make this look even more 40s by adding shoulder pads! The blouse has the typical buttons up the back and we use our bakelite style buttons for this.

*Don't be afraid of the button back - we have worked out the best way of getting this beauty on. Undo the top and the bottom buttons, pull over the head and then easily do them back up - voila!

Produced in wonderful "Sumputous" print rayon satin- perfect for spring and to pair with a variety of skirts and trousers. Please note that colours vary on different screens and we may not always be able to accurately represent it.

Fabric: 100% rayon satin
Washing instructions: Cold hand wash (shrinkage may occur) - dry flat - iron back into shape OR Dry clean. 100% rayon fabrics, whilst they are more authentic, they do require more care than synthetic fibres.
