1940s Meet Again Blouse - Black

Celebrating the 40s silhouette further is our rather lovely 'Meet Again' blouse. An authentic early/mid 40s style blouse packed with those classic 1940s details and designed to create the correct silhouette for the era.

Our 'Meet Again' blouse has all the hallmarks of that iconic wartime and mid 40s styles - simple and elegant with a high jewel neckline but enhanced by gathers above the bust for a super flattering look. Don't fear the un-tailored shape of this blouse - it's designed to be tucked in to natural or high waisted trousers/skirts which emulates the boxy '40s shape. This blouse would be considered 'oversize' yet still has some subtle waist shaping.

Mid length 'easy' sleeves with some subtle gathers into the sleeve head. You could make this look even more 40s by adding shoulder pads but there are some small roll pads to enhance the shoulder which can be easily removed if required. No fastenings apart from keyhole at back neck.

Produced in classic black to perfect to pair with a variety of skirts and trousers.

Washing instructions: Cold hand wash (shrinkage may occur) - dry flat - iron back into shape OR Dry clean. 100% rayon fabrics, whilst they are more authentic, they do require more care than synthetic fibres.
